Your browser's cache
When you go to a web page, the browser stores a copy of the page to speed up page loading in future. Most files and images are loaded from this 'cache' when you go back to a website you have visited previously. However this means that sometimes when a page changes, you won't see the most up-to-date version unless you clear your cache.
Find your browser on this page to learn how to clear the cache. If you don't know which browser you are using, go to the Help menu - the last menu item will usually give you information about your browser.
Internet Explorer 7
- Go to the Tools menu and choose Internet Options
- Select the General tab
- Find Browsing history and click Delete
- Locate Temporary Internet Files and click Delete files
- Click Close then OK to close the windows
- Reload the page
Internet Explorer 5 and 6
- Go to the Tools menu and choose Internet Options
- Select the General tab
- Locate Temporary Internet Files and click Delete files
- Click OK to confirm, then OK again
- Reload the page
Firefox 2.0
- Go to the Tools menu and choose Clear Private Data
- Tick the Cache checkbox and click Clear Private Data Now
- Reload the page
Safari
- Go to the Safari menu and click Empty Cache
- Click Empty to confirm
- Reload the page
