Mat Connolley - career history
2007 - present
Freelance web developer
2005 - 2007
I worked for a variety of clients in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and USA building a number of web sites and e-learning systems mainly using ASP and PHP. The experience of working remotely has given me excellent project management and time planning skills, and I gained a broader outlook on business practices in different countries.
Epic (now LEO) was Europe's largest e-learning consultancy and developer of bespoke e-learning programmes. I worked on projects for clients such as Deloitte Touche Tomatsu, PwC, NTL, Barclays, B&Q, Inland Revenue and Chichester District Council. In addition I was responsible for the development of the company's internal toolkit, Construct, and managed several new releases of the software to a production staff of over 150 people, conducting training and writing documentation.
Cube Works, Brighton
Cube Works (now part of MBA) was a new media agency specialising in content management and internet marketing. I worked on the company's enterprise-level Content Management System, WebAttaché, and built sites for a number of key clients including the University of Southampton and London College of Print.

Aventis (now CSL Behring) was a multi-national pharmaceutical company, specialising in plasma proteins. My role was varied and included development and maintenance of the corporate web site; construction of web sites for customers and overseas affiliates; design and implementation of intranet systems; graphic design for marketing department; database design and support.
